  • Katherine Van Duine, DVM

    DVM

    Dr. Kate Van Duine grew up in western Montana but feels most at home in Alaska. She attended UAF in Fairbanks prior to graduating from Washington State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Van Duine has volunteered for several sled dog races including the Yukon Quest since 2006. She and her husband have a full house with three Alaskan Malamutes: Bear, Meeka and Moose. In her free time she enjoys skijouring, hiking, campingand scrapbooking. Some day she would like to have her own recreational sled dog team. Dr. Van Duine has special interests in sled dog medicine as well as ultrasonography and cytology. Dr. Van Duine has been a member of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medicine Association since 2008 and The American Veterinary Association since 2006.

  • Mandy Seymour, DVM

    DVM

    Dr. Mandy Seymour graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and complete a specialty internship in small animal surgery and internal medicine with VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona in 2010. In her spare time Mandy enjoys hiking with her husband and taking her dogs (Lynx, Gromit and Niffler) for romps in the woods or curling up with her 3 cats and reading thriller novels. Dr. Seymour's special interests include canine and feline behavior. Dr. Seymour has extensive specialized training in these areas. She also has interests in emergency medicine and critical care, nutrition, the Human- Animal Bond, shelter medicine, geriatric medicine and she is involved in community outreach and education.

  • Alix Partnow, DVM

    DVM

    Dr. Partnow was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She went on to receive her DVM degree from the University of Illinois in 2007. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. Then Dr. Partnow completed a residency in neurology/ neurosurgery as well as a Master of Science degree in veterinary medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri. Her professional interests include neuro-oncology, heritable and degenerative conditions of the central nervous system, neurosurgery and post-operative rehabilitation. Outside the hospital Dr. Partnow is an avid cook/ baker and distance runner. She loves exploring local parks and trails with her two dogs.
