  Ty Farnsworth

  Partner

  Ty has always been an Alaskan at heart, enjoying the hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors that Alaska offers. When he is not in the courtroom fighting for injured Alaskans, you can find him fishing the Russian and Kenai Rivers. When Ty was younger, he suffered a back injury while at work in a rock mine. He suffered through debilitating back pain, pinched nerves, and two bulging discs for years. Ty understands the pain, limitations, and depression that follow when individuals are injured at work or in auto accidents. Ty has years of experience as a civil litigator, fighting to protect Alaskans’ legal rights. He understands that insurance companies and the court often take advantage of people when they do not have an experienced personal injury attorney standing by their side. For Ty, helping people when they need help is the most fulfilling part of his career. This desire to help others, coupled with Ty’s history of perpetual back pain, naturally led to him to practice personal injury law. Now he gets to help people who are just like him—in need of help and not knowing where to find it. No one needs more help than someone who was injured, cannot work, and has a family to take care of. Ty Farnswoth is admitted to practice before the Alaska Superior and District Courts, Federal District Court, and the US Bankruptcy Court.

  Jeffrey Vance

  Partner

  Jeff is originally from the heart of the Rocky Mountains, where self-reliance and individual determination is a way of life, just like in Alaska. At a young age, he served our country in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman/surgical medic, earning a Vocational Nursing License along the way. After completing his education, Jeff spent many years working for the 31 federally recognized tribes throughout Bristol Bay, including for the Bristol Bay Native Association. Later, he served as general counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Seeking to gain insight into the personal injury world, Jeff served as defense counsel for one of the world’s largest insurance companies. It was from serving as an insurance defense counsel that Jeff learned that insurance companies concoct schemes to take advantage of accident victims who choose not to hire an attorney. Being tired of how insurance companies treat unrepresented individuals, Jeff switched sides and now uses his “insider knowledge” to help victims like you get the best settlement possible.
