She has served as a volunteer in places like Bolivia and even worked with the World Health Organization in Geneva, gaining valuable experience along the way. She previously served as the chairperson of pediatrics at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage and as the elected secretary for the Alaska Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
